2020–2021 · For the Voice That Doesn't Reach · Interdisciplinary Theatre · 20 min · Director
— SYNOPSIS
What does your face look like behind the mask? What is happiness to you? How fast are you living these days, and why? Is there something you wish you had said? What does "now" mean to you? The piece is a collection of words that could not reach each other during COVID-19.
— DIRECTOR’S NOTE
Made when live performance had become nearly impossible, the piece was performed for the audience over YouTube streaming. We asked five questions and drew the audience's answers at random; the choreographer and composer reshaped a base choreography and score in real time in response. It was a way to talk about communication, between people and between audiences and artists, that can still be felt without sharing a room.
